Beer Mac And Cheese

Yes, it might be difficult to surprise anyone with mac’n’cheese – everybody already knows that it is delicious. But what if this cheesy ensemble was accompanied by the malty taste of your favorite beer? It will almost certainly be a whole new level of perfection.

Ingredients

  • 50g butter
  • 2 garlic cloves - minced
  • 50g spinach
  • 500 ml milk
  • 250ml of the US pale ale
  • 220g macaroni
  • 100g grated cheddar cheese
  • 200g grated mozzarella cheese

Cooking steps

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Meanwhile, in a flameproof dish or a metal frying pan, melt the butter and fry the garlic for 2 minutes. Add the spinach and cook for 2 more minutes. Then pour in the milk and beer and cook until it starts to bubble slightly.

Step 2

Add the macaroni to the pan and stir occasionally for around 20 minutes until the pasta is cooked and covered in sauce.

Step 3

Stir in the cheddar and half of the mozzarella. When it starts to melt, add the remaining mozzarella on top and put it in the oven for 7 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned on top. You are ready to serve!
